General E.H. Warcroft

By da shores of La Misère, renamed Elend,

General Einsam Heart waz defeated.

A sad songe was played across Heart’s Homeland—

Disbelief in the cold act completed.

“General Einsam Heart should have retreat’d!”

Oft pride fools da best, oft pride does ˈtrēzən.

Heart gasped, him “resources were deplet’d,”

But far too late came da voice of ˈRiːz(ə)n).

“Could he have liv’d for just one more ˈsiːz(ə)n?”

Only Fate doth knoe—he built da pyre,

Da one which held da lonely-hearted seaman.

(To da west ashes soared from a cold fire).

Da world spins on and is unforgiving.

Warcroft’s death: blood-lust without misgiving.
